What is Technology due diligence?

Technology due diligence is an independent assessment of a target company's technology, software, cybersecurity, suppliers and technology organisation before an investment or acquisition, to find the risks and costs that affect the deal.
It typically covers architecture and scalability, technical debt, security posture and incidents, compliance, licences and critical contracts, IT spend and the team, and ends with red flags, cost estimates and a 100-day plan.
