What is an Obeya room?
Also known as: Obeya, Big room
An Obeya (Japanese for 'big room') is a visual management space, physical or digital, where leaders see strategy, delivery, risks and decisions together on one wall and steer them in short, regular meetings.
The method comes from the Toyota Production System. A digital Obeya keeps the panels live from the systems where the work happens, so meetings discuss decisions instead of collecting status.
