Leadership
What is an interim CTO?
Also known as: Interim Chief Technology Officer
An interim CTO is an experienced Chief Technology Officer who leads engineering and technology full time for a defined period, for example during a vacancy, a platform rebuild, an acquisition or a carve-out.
The interim CTO stabilises teams and delivery, takes the architecture and supplier decisions that cannot wait, and prepares the organisation for its permanent technology leader.
How Clateway helps
- Interim CTO – An interim CTO in seat at short notice to lead engineering, rescue a critical platform programme, steer a merger or carve-out and hand over to a permanent CTO.
- Fractional CTO services – A fractional CTO to own your architecture, engineering organisation, delivery rhythm and investor-ready technology story, part time and without a full-time hire.
